So here's what we've been up to so far this summer (maybe in the next couple posts-I'm going to attempt this whole pacing thing).
First up-Swimming Lessons- Last year we did a Mommy & Me class and had quite a bit of fun so I figured we'd do it again-since next summer there will be another lil' bambina so swim lessons are most likely going to be on hold for a summer-we're enjoying the time with one child! Sadly last summer I didn't get a single pic since I was in the water so this year Uncle Phil was a good sport to come one of the classes so I could get some videos and pictures of Alli swimming. She had a lot of fun, her favorite part was definitely picking out pool toys to play with at the end of class. And they also had a day where her class got to go down the waterslide. She went with me numerous times and then braved it by herself-and flipped over on one of the turns :) but she still liked it for the most part.
We also went to Seven Peaks (and were lucky enough to see some lady get full on arrested in the middle of the park after she tried resisting and running away). Alli loved the wave pool and this certain waterslide ( I think that was more because the lifeguard gave her "five" or "bones" every time so she felt pretty cool) that she went on at least 15-20 times back to back. Kind of insane. I would catch her at the bottom cause the water was fairly deep and she'd go back up the stairs, through the little pool at the top and get situated at the top all by herself. Kind of made me nervous, but she was great.
We've gone to the park at least once a week, the pool a few more times, and played in the pool in the yard with friends, but the camera seems to be absent for those excursions. Nothing too exciting or out of the ordinary, but it's kept Alli happy!
