This year for the 4th of July we went to the Freedom Festival parade in Provo and then had a picnic at a park with my brother Jason and his family. The picnic was followed by a hilarious game of "softball" using a random blown up ball and a shoe/hand for the bat. And then Alli and Brynn did some fishing on their Barbie fishing poles, but Brynn was the only lucky one to catch anything. And of course fireworks later that evening :).
And the 24th of July was a lot of fun too. We went to the rodeo a few days before and went down to Mona for "Mona days" the Saturday before. There was a fun parade and a whole bunch of bounce house/slides set up for the kids to play on. Alli had a great time climbing and running all over everything!! Later Saturday night we went out to eat to celebrate my mom's birthday and then we had homemade ice cream and watched fireworks again:). Alli LOVES fireworks so it was fun watching her reactions to all of them. Monday we went to he Spanish Fork parade- we kinda like parades, Alli most of all!-had a delicious bbq and then left Ilene with my mom since it was so stinkin' hot and took Alli to the carnival and park. It was great having time with just Alli walking around the booths, eating dinner and playing! Then later it was so nice to sit on our deck and relax and watch all the fireworks with both girlies sleeping :).
We went to an Orem Owlz game one night, it was great sitting out just hanging out.
We went to the Salem Days rodeo. Alli's favorite part was that one of the girls participating took Alli for a ride on her horse around the outside of the arena.
And Ilene (and Alli) LOVES the swing downstairs, oh she smiles and laughs so much whenever she is in it.
