The beginning of February we had Ilene's baby blessing. It was wonderful, the blessing itself was beautiful and the "after party" was wonderful with lots of family and friends!
A little recent update:
Ilene continues to be ridiculously happy! She smiles and laughs and jabbers all throughout the day. Alli is especially good at making her smile and laugh.
She likes to be "teased" and likes "teasing" back with her binky so I am hoping this means she will always have such a pleasant disposition! She brings us so much joy and is just content to be held and played with. She likes her sleep and for the most part is a really good sleeper. She rolls overAlli continues to be the ever-doting big sister, but luckily enough not overly so (for the most part!). She can make Ilene laugh so hard and Ilene will follow her with her eyes and watch everything she is doing. I LOVE watching this, their interaction is already so cute and heartwarming to watch. Alli talks and reasons so well, she tells me about so many random things throughout the day. Some of my favorite things she says are "that's sweet" or "That's So Sad". She will think through so many things and still has such sensitive feelings and concern for others. She is still such a funny girl, always making me laugh. And sometimes can be so stinkin' frustrating :). She can totally push my buttons-as in when she is in JUMPING in Ilene's crib when Ilene is asleep!-so I am learning to be more patient (and some days I am actually succeeding hooray!). But man these two little girls bring soo much joy and happiness to me, I say it all the time, but I am soo glad I get to stay home with them every single day! I would not want to miss any of these moments-even the frustrating ones :).
Alli still loves dancing and music. She loves playing "school" or "restaurant" and will bring me a menu and I pay and she "makes me food." I love that she has such an active imagination, it makes life exciting. So here are a few more "randoms" because they make me smile.
One Sunday morning (about a month ago?) Alli was picking her church dress and she was really excited for a special one. Turns out it was the blessing dress and when I told her it wouldn't fit she held it up on her back and said it would because it was long enough. :) So I told her she could try it on and obviously once it was on she wanted it off because it was too tight. Here is one picture of her anguish, she wasn't a fan of the paparazzi!

One night a few weeks ago when I was gone teaching spinning apparently the activity was "cleaning our Nikes?" I found these random pics on the camera when I loaded everything to the computer. Alli thinks it is really cool that we all (except Ilene) have Nikes and when we are wearing ours she likes to wear hers.
