I feel like with Alli starting school we had to fit in our last of summer things before she started.
We went to get the car's oil changed and they have a really cool pirate ship play place that the kids love!
When I went to get in the shower Cam had beat me to it and was happily playing and getting completely soaked (obviously).
We got this cute car that the kids have LOVED on a crazy good deal thanks to my mom buying a new dishwasher.
We were playing outside with the umbrella and Cam thought it was hilarious to be under it.
Before her first dance class. She was having a little snack of grapes and I turned around to this. It made me laugh so hard to see her shoving them in and them making funny faces at me. She cracks me up!

Ryan was installing the kitchen sink in the basement and Cam was right them to help :).
Love that Alli is starting to read and she loves reading/picture walking to Cam and Ilene. Cam doesn't mind it either ;) he loves books!
One of the other things we wanted to fit in before school started was one last trip to the aquarium before they move. Not sure why Alli is posing like this...

Poor Ilene wasn't feeling so hot so she mostly wanted to be in the stroller or be held.
That night we had Alli's kindergarten back to school night (they have a school one and a kindergarten one) there was an awesome rain storm with these gorgeous rainbows. I wish I could get a better picture, but the sky was clearer and both rainbows were fully visible end to end. They were beautiful!
Cam thought it was fantastic to stomp in the running water down the rain gutter. Good thing there was so much water coming so it was fairly clean.
Alli clearly thought it was great too. Actually it was such a sunny, fabulous rainstorm that we all loved it-except poor Ilene who was too sick to want anything except her bed :(.
Cam's new trick is he can go both up (has been for a while) and DOWN the stairs! This is fantastic because I do not need to worry about him being stuck somewhere and trying to come down only to fall or roll the whole way down.
He obviously likes to climb...on anything and everything. Usually it is the girls' stool in the kitchen or bathroom, but this day he ventured to Ryan's part of the closet and removed all the shoes so it could be a Cam rack instead.

One day last week we headed to this tiny little park a few blocks from our house for a little picnic. They are putting in a new playset this fall which will be so fun. These tires have been here since I was a little kid. Even though they are old and the park is super small and kind of ghetto the girls had fun on our quick little picnic.
Alli takes care of Leo and she loves him, but Ilene LOVES him-especially lately. When people ask if she has any pets she says yes-a dog, Leo. When they ask where he lives she responds next door :). Perfect arrangement! Cam also is soo excited whenever we go in their garage to get him out. He takes off as fast as he can towards these stairs.
Last week we had the chance to go bowling with the Fredette Family Foundation event they had last week. The print shop Bmakers sometimes uses just changed ownership and the new owner literally just told Ryan this was his shameless plug for Ryan to send more shirt orders his way. They did the shirts, hats, etc for Jimmer's events this summer and were a sponsor. Alli and Ilene LOVED it. Not only did they get their favorite food (sweet meat) for dinner, but the whole night was a lot of fun. They thought the bowling was so fun and loved seeing how many pins they'd get down. Alli actually got 2 strikes on her own (with the help of the ramp). She was so determined because they did some contests and one was whoever could get 2 strikes in a row won an autographed ball from Jimmer and she wanted that ball!!! We left Cam home with a neighbor so we could have some quality time with the girls and not be chasing him around trying to keep him from getting hurt-definitely a good choice. The lane/table we were at was 3 down from Jimmer's and it was fun to see him interact with the few family and friends who were with him. He is definitely a fun, nice, normal guy!
Friday Ryan went golfing for this same thing. He had a lot of fun, it was a beautiful course and there were some great prizes along the course. Different companies sponsored different holes so he came out like a bandit-BYU Rockwell watch, ratchet belt (seen on Shark Tank), shirts, hats, Jimmer's book, autographed picture frame with pics of them golfing, and then he made a "Jimmer" shot on one of the individual hole competitions-Brandon Doman has started a hoop company so they were competing to be in a raffle for a hoop if they made the short. So he won an autographed basketball with this year's BYU bball team for making his shot, unfortunately his name wasn't drawn. He also somehow won something else and picked a massage for me :).
Last week we went for a little bike ride, but Alli decided she wanted to run instead and I caught this random candid shot of her and she just looked so happy and so beautiful!

Saturday Ryan and I went to the BYU game. We got all sport pass guest passes from one of Ryan's friends at Brandmakers who is finishing up at BYU so we had general admission seats. We got to the game 75 minutes before kick off, but a few minutes after sitting down we see these clouds....
5 minutes before my mom had called asking if we were soaked because there was a crazy storm in Salem. At that time the clouds were darkish, but high and we were totally dry. Then this literally came rolling in as we watched! After this came the CRAZY rain and wind. It was like a hurricane almost. We had gone under the bleachers so we were dry and safe from the lightning etc but there were inches of rain on the walkways outside within minutes. It was insane, but cool to watch. It rained for so long and they kept having to move the start time back because of the lightning. Finally (after being under the bleachers for2 hours) we decided to head out and just watch at home instead of sitting in the rain when it would finally start again. By the time we were to the car we had gone from dry to soo wet! But when we got 10 minutes South it was sunnier with clearer skies. It did continue to rain throughout the rest of the game, but we just watched in the basement after kids were asleep. It was such a great game!!!
Last Friday Alli's school had a "Summer Celebration". I volunteered to help and I was put in one of the rotations. Ours was the summer vacation and the kids were lucky enough to go to Hawaii for this. We did the Maori stick game, Hukalau, pretend swam and surfed and then did parachute. There were 7 groups so it got exhausting by the end, but it was fun! I didn't get a pic when Alli was in our group so I had to get one after. She is holding her watermelon book they made in one of the rotations.
Here is my Mr. Studmuffin at church on Sunday. He has way too many church clothes, but it is fun to dress this guy up! He snagged the singing lady in primary's necklace while I was conducting and kept playing with it while she was leading.
Before dinner at Grandma's I had stripped the dude down because he is messy when he is eating so it is easier this way :).
The kids found the bike tire pump and thought it was such a funny/great toy. The fire pit was out from Phil and Kacie's smores a few nights before.
This morning the girls were painting with colored whipped cream. I love when they are playing so well and not fighting each other! Later this morning before Alli's school we went to the pond and fed the ducks and played on the playground. The ducks were super friendly. Poor Cam was still working on part of the bagel for lunch (I was holding him) and one duck tried 2-3 times to take it from him and he kept trying to take any bread I had in my hand. The girls thought it was so fun. They are so sweet.
This was right after the ducks. Cam turned and looked at me and got this GIANT smile on his face. Cute lil stink!

Cam loving Ryan's new shoes almost as much as Ryan! But I think Ryan loves the fact that Cam loves the shoes even more than he loves the shoes themselves-proud papa!
Well we are glad everything has calmed down a little bit. Ilene is doing better and we saw her infectious disease specialist which was so helpful. We will see the cardiologist, but I feel like everything is fine there. If we hadn't given you a heads up before about what was going on, sorry. We tried contacting some family members just to fill you in a bit but didn't want to say too much because we didn't know a whole lot. Some family members were out of town without reception so I don't know if the messages ever went through or not :). Anyway, Dr. O thinks she may have a PFAPA, but we aren't for sure yet. That would definitely explain the fevers and sore throat she has had, but luckily so far she hasn't had mouth sores or ulcers in her mouth. We will chart any fevers and symptoms for 3 months and go in to the regular pediatrician with any fevers so they can test for specific things and see Dr. O sooner if it changes or gets worse-identifiable-or at 3 months if these things don't ever show up and she is still having the fevers so he can figure out what's going on. If she does have that there are treatment options, but it is just trying to figure out exactly what it is. For now she is finally back to normal again and spunky as ever! She is quite the little comedian at times! It was reassuring to have Dr. O list off the serious problems that it wasn't :) so now we will and see. I am just glad to have a plan to look towards!
