July Part 2

We really have packed it in the last few weeks and are now just starting to have some more normal time.  But we have loved everything we have been able to do! There is a little boy here in Salem who has cancer so there was an amazing fundraiser for him and his family.  Seriously-cosmo (the girls were ecstatic about that visitor!), princesses, games, face painting, nail painting, hair coloring/hair styling, silent auction and regular auction, and I think there were also a bake sale and a yard sale.  The girls had so much fun!

The next weekend one of Ryan's best friends from high school-Tim-got married so we made a quick trip to Seattle.  Here are Ryan, Tim, and the other 3 amigo Scott.  It was fun to be able to spend some time with these guys who made some an impact on Ryan's life! I love both Kristen (Scott's wife) and Nakhole (Tim's new bride) and we are thrilled and super excited for baby boy Haberman to be here soon!
And more of their group of friends-Jonny, Scott, Gian Carlo, Ryan, and David.

It became hilarious watching them "stand up straight" such a funny group of guys, it was quite the entertaining evening for sure!!!
We got to spend time with Ryan's family, but I only have a few pictures.  Saturday morning we went to a beach area because that is pretty well Ryan's favorite thing ever and found a bunch of creatures while it was low-tide.  We found an octopus, multiple jellyfish and sea anemones, some sculpin, fish eggs, saw 2 seals coming up for air multiple times, clams, giant snails, crabs, hermit crabs, and a gooey duck.
Ryan by one of the jellyfish.

These sculpin were under the rocks.  Almost like they had a "nest" of sorts with tons of eggs.
Ryan had a treasure hunt in his parents' garage.

We came back just in time for most of Fiesta Days and of course had to make a stop-or two- are the carnival.

The carnival take 2-Alli and Scott are such good friends.  Ilene and Sarah were super cute riding together!

And the rodeo-seriously the highlight of the year for these cowgirls!  We also went to the parade which the kids loved-particularly Cam who bounced to any music that we heard, but I only have videos and am too tired to upload them.

And just to "keep it real" this was from a few mornings' ago when Alli wanted me to watch a show with her, Cam wanted me to hold him, and Ilene needed to be right with us as well-it is slightly crazy around these parts! But I love it.
Ilene found a little toad in our neighbors' yard and thought it was the greatest thing ever.  I love watching her go ribbit ribbit and hop around the room :).
