Alli at the end of the graduation. Her graduation was at "Jumpin Jacks" and both girls LOVED playing on the blow up toys and going down the giant slide. It was such a fun little outing-too bad Ryan's foot was too messed up to join us on the giant toys!
Ryan had a bunch of work trips every week for 3 weeks so we decided to go with him for the last one. We left Monday afternoon after Alli's dance class so we got to Vegas about 9:30? Tuesday he went to the expo he was there for so the girls and I went swimming and went to "Chimpanzee". Before we left Vegas to come home Wednesday afternoon we went to our favorite mall with a fun outdoor play place and the Mirage to their Dolphin Encounter. Seriously so cool! Kind of pricey, but worth it for this little girl who LOVES dolphins! They just do little "training sessions" throughout the day every hour or so and some are longer than others. but it is cool because the dolphins are soo close. When the trainers have them come up on the shelf part you are standing 10-15 feet away and then they would send them to do a flip or something. It was really fun to be so close to so many dolphins and the sessions we saw lasted about fifteen minutes, we all loved it.
They also have a "Secret Garden" habitat area with a bunch of species of lions and tigers. It is kind of cool, but more of just a side bonus of the dolphin exhibit :).
And these are just the girls being goofy at Ryan's work.
At the end of May Alli did a little "t-ball camp". They would do some "skill" stuff the first 1/2 hour and then have a game the last 1/2 hour. Honestly hilarious to watch! Alli doesn't love t-ball which is totally fine with us, but she had a fun time running the bases and doing the cheer at the beginning and the end :). And she like the throwing and hitting occasionally. When she would catch she would just hold her glove out-and not move it at all. Toward the end she started to move it a little to try actually catching the ball. A few funny moments were when she was out in the field covering her face with her glove during the game. Also when she was running from first to second base she ran to the other field's second base-she also ran to the other field when her coach told her to play a position-she did just on the other field. But it was fun to watch and she had fun playing so it all worked great.
A little Memorial Day remembering.
A random stop at Krispy Kreme to watch them make donuts-and enjoy their deliciousness!
And toward the end of May we got sick of Ryan's ankle being swollen anytime he would walk on it. Each time he went to the tradeshows he would come home and it would be really swollen and sore. At the end of April he broke his finger playing basketball and we are pretty sure in the same "incident" when he landed he hit his ankle and a flap of cartilage that was loose got lodged in between the joint so it was causing inflammation. That or one of the bone fragments got stuck in there :).
The rest of these are just random pictures and I don't want to go through and organize them...
Ilene playing on our neighbors' swingset and grandma's trampoline.
We have gone to a few random horse shows and small rodeos at the fairgrounds across from Ryan's work because when we go visit him or take him lunch I will see the sign saying what is going on. At one of them this lady we were sitting by whose daughter was riding in the high school rodeo asked if our girls wanted to ride their horse. That would be a definite yes. So she was so kind to let them sit up there for a minute. They were loving it!
A video from Alli's graduation.
Alli with her bike she got this spring.
Her two favorites-Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella
The carriage ride.
Ilene loving being at Alli's t-ball.
I had my first Let's Play Music recital. My class did GREAT! I was so proud of them and the other teachers who were there to watch and help and bring some older kids to show what is coming next were really impressed by how much my students knew and how well they played-so that made me feel great! I don't think I was doing anything special so it was nice to know that my students were at least not behind where they should be!
More trampoline time and Ilene showing her smore covered face and her "BIG" smile complete with scrunched eyes and nose.
