Well in the middle of April Ryan had two expos sort of back to back in Vegas. He has one Wednesday/Thursday of one week and another Monday (he thought) the next week. And then he had another one shortly before or after that he flew down to with one of the guys in the office. So it all boiled down to lots of trips in a short period of time which results in sad girls and since these were especially close together we decided it would be a good excuse for a trip! He asked if we wanted to come and hangout in Vegas for the weekend, but seeing as there isn't tons to do there we opted to drive a few hours and go visit family in Arizona! We left in the evening and drove to Vegas-getting there about midnight :( and we were so exhausted! Unfortunately since we left a few hours later than we had planned our kids basically slept the whole drive-awesome-but woke up when we got to the hotel and were happy to be awake until 1 or 1:30. That day Ryan went to the tradeshow and the kids and I hung out at the pool...super cool doing naps and swimming and changing all singlehandedly at the pool area since we had to be checked out of our room-good thing the pool area was awesome!
I can't find my pics of the kids playing-I know I have a few but not many. So this is the pool and the awesome beach entry. We had such a great time playing on the "beach" and then swimming and doing one of the random activities they had that day-a water balloon toss that Alli and I ended up winning! We ate breakfast for Denny's because it was right by our hotel and then I took the kids back there for lunch because they wanted to eat there and get these drink cups.
Once Ryan finished the expo we decided instead of staying in Vegas that night we would head to AZ and get there late. So we started driving a little before dinner and about an hour and a half in to the drive I thought we should perhaps stop to eat in the one good sized town, but the kids were doing well so we decided to wait til the next town.....we didn't realize there was NOT A SINGLE THING for 100 miles!!! And you have to go like 45 that whole way :(. We were starving when we made it to this western town about 8:45 and were really hoping for some good food. All the restaurants closed at 9 so we were out of luck...except for one and that is Denny's. I ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Denny's that day :(. 
This is our "awesome" dessert celebrating our support of Denny's. We stayed with our friends the Greaves that night and Ryan worked with James the next day (James is the CEO at Brandmakers) and Thea and I hung out and then we all went to the pool that afternoon before leaving the kids with a babysitter to go get some awesome food and frozen yogurt. It was a fun date night! Then that night Ryan and James went Survivor style and we had a scorpion hunt. Luckily for the Greaves we were out of luck finding them until we found this guy on the wall by their pool. Ryan and James wanted to watch it sting a bug, but were out of luck since this guy was super calm and wouldn't go for it.
That night we ate at a really yummy place-Joe's Farm Grill! And the next morning Natalie was doing a garage sale and Alli was drawing with sidewalk chalk.
Sunday morning we went to a park with a big open field to play a little "softball", fly the kite super high, walk around, and of course the play place!
While we were in Arizona Ryan looked up information about his next expo and realized that instead of starting Monday like he had thought, it didn't start til Tuesday evening :). So we stayed until Monday morning/early afternoon and then drove back to Vegas so he could do some work and we could be situated before he went to the expo Tuesday. At one point during the drive back Alli and Ilene were playing with Ryan's hats. Yes Ilene is out of her seat and is next to Alli-we put in the more portable seat but she can slip out much easier so it was a constant pain/battle to keep her buckled, but it was fun to see how the girls entertained themselves! By the time we actually got to Vegas both girls were asleep and stayed asleep the entire transfer process-through the check in and walk up to our room and slept the rest of the night :).
The first night we got a good deal on a room at Caesar's Palace so we stayed there since we haven't before. It was really pretty and they had really nice pools-except it was cold so we couldn't really enjoy them. We tried and we all about froze-seriously! We walked through the shops on our way back from breakfast, it has been a few years since I had been there.

After our attempt at swimming we hung out in the room while Ryan checked out an expo he had happened upon that was going on in Caesar's that he had actually done some promo stuff for one of his customers for and the kids took naps while Alli watched tv and I packed-super thrilling:). Then we checked out and went to one of our favorite places (probably most favorite!) to stay-Trump Towers. There is no casino and it is just soo clean!! We book it through bookit when we can find it as a mystery property :).
Somehow bookit had booked out reservation twice :(. We eventually got it figured out, but since Trump is awesome they upgraded our room to a one bedroom suite to apologize (but it wasn't even their fault) and it was HUGE. The normal rooms are really big, but this was kind of ridiculous. The bathroom was gigantic-like a bedroom size! Anyway so we hung out and relaxed and went to see a few of the things on the strip that we haven't been to. Sadly the lions at MGM left a YEAR AGO and I hadn't checked...awesome. So here we are in front of the golden lion in MGM. 
We made a stop at Hash House a Go Go for breakfast-yummy and lots of food! Here are our sage chicken and waffles.
Apparently once we got home everyone was so exhausted they just hung out and slept ;). Haha I wish!
